Originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, I now live in Montréal, Québec where I'm VP of M&E Product Development at Autodesk. The product team I lead is responsible for some of the leading tools used in the Media & Entertainment industry, notably 3ds Max, Arnold, Bifrost, Flame, Flow Production Tracking, Maya and Autodesk's Flow Platform.
I serve as Vice Chair on the Academy Software Foundation Governing Board, and have been involved in several key open source initiatives. I'm also the Chair of the Montreal Section of the Visual Effects Society, and have hosted several CG Spotlight events together with Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH which aim to give local studios a venue to showcase their work, and also students from local universities to present research and development initiatives.
Many years ago, I completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Gregory Dudek, followed up by a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Université de Montréal in Prof. Pierre Poulin's lab.
In my spare time, I like to ride motorcycles on the track, do technical and cave scuba diving, play tennis, take pictures, and pay way too much attention to how to make a proper espresso. I'm also an avid fan of MotoGP, F1, ATP / WTA, and the NBA.
Feel free to connect with me.
